Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, But Will A Gay Man Lead The US Navy?

MinnPost has this interesting blurb about Bill White, who some sources say is being vetted by Team Obama for Secretary of the Navy. It may not be time to cue the Village People song just yet, but an interesting story. Trying to make up for the Rick Warren pick for theĀ inauguration invocation?

Minnesota Marching Band Playing Obama’s Inauguration

Via the AP, The Fergus Falls High School marching band has been selected to perform in Barack Obama’s inauguration next month.

They’ll be playing “Yankee Doodle” and rumor has it they sing part of it (marching bands sing?). Physical audience is expected to be 3-4 million — plus TV audiences will be massive — so I hope those clarinet players have been practicing their left, right, left for a world stage.

Poll: McCain Gaining on Obama in Minnesota

According to the most recent poll released by Quinnipiac University, John McCain trails Barack Obama 44% – 46%.

This most recent snapshot shows the race narrowing significantly in the last month to within the margin of error, and of all the states polled, the shift in Minnesota was the most dramatic.

The latest Zogby poll I can find for Minnesota shows Libertarian candidate Bob Barr at 8 percent in Minnesota, which will surely grow and continue to be a thorn in McCain’s side.

If you’re definitely not voting for Obama and don’t want to vote for McCain, I recommend you check out this video.
