Met Council Seeking Artists for Central Corridor Light Rail Line Public Art Projects

I’m not sure if this announcement is posted somewhere officially. I got it through a mailing list.

The Metropolitan Council is seeking up to five artists with expertise in creating integrated, outdoor public art for the design, fabrication and installation of art along the Central Corridor Light Rail Transit line linking St. Paul and Minneapolis. Artists must have experience in engaging the community, have knowledge of the community and explain how their work will be inclusive of and responsive to local culture and identity. Artists will develop a plan for how they will engage the community in the art process for each station. The station art budget is $3.7 million. The deadline for artists to submit their qualifications is 2 p.m. July 8.
