thank you, target & minnesota orchestra

cheers to target and the minnesota orchestra for creating the target free family concerts.  thanks to this freebie, i saw the orchestra for the first time yesterday.  i had never been to any orchestra concert before.  and sure, the concert was short, about 50 minutes, and informal, but that seemed just perfect for the kids near me, who were enthralled with the music and the dance.  i especially enjoyed the three- or four-year old boy who was so moved by the music he couldn’t stop dancing — his version of dancing being spinning in circles over and over again with a huge grin.  he was having a great time!

i wondered whether i, an adult who has no children, would be taking a child’s spot at this concert, but there were plenty of empty seats there.  so i plan to enter my name again in hopes of another 50-minute respite.  you can enter your name between dec. 10-17 to win tickets to a concert in january, march, or april.
