Walldogs on Lyndale Mural Designs Unveiled

NRP Digest has the scoop on the Walldogs on Nicollet project, a public art project jointly sponsored by the Lyndale and Kingfield Neighborhood Associations. They claim that painting 10 murals at eight sites over four days will be one of the largest creations of public art in the history of Minneapolis.

The painting will take place July 24-27 and will be surrounded by a number of community events. The first set of mural designs have been finalized. See some of the murals and the buildings they’ll be painted on.

You can make a donation or buy a $5 raffle ticket (at the LNA office, or at the Kingfield Farmers’ Market this Sunday). They also need volunteers for both painting and watching (I assume “watching” is some sort of security function).

For more information or to get involved in the project contact Mark Hinds (mark@lyndale.org), LNA Executive Director at 612.824.9402 ext 16 or Sarah Linnes-Robinson (kfna@email.com) at 612.823.5980.
