The Live From Main Street folks are in town for the National Conference on Media Reform and will also be hosting this event on Sunday:

We’re excited to invite you to Live From Main Street Minneapolis ( – the first in a series of televised town hall events designed to shake-up boring horse race election coverage and highlight what’s really at stake this election season.

Inspired by the work of everyday activists and local independent media, Live From Main Street’s first town hall will explore what it takes to get heard in the era of big media and diminished civil liberties.

Hosted by Laura Flanders, author of Blue Grit and host of Free Speech TV’s Grit TV and KFAI and Insight News’s Al McFarlane.
