MNMO enters the ring

Minnesota Monthly’s new thing: blogs. I know we’ve been doing it for a while here, but with just a few posts under their belts, editors Tim Ghiring (arts and culture), Elizabeth Dehn (stlye), and Rachel Hutton (food) are tearing up the electronic pages with their posts. Hutton recently posted about our own Jim Norton’s local beer tasting, which she attended. Ghiring pointed readers towards a sometimes-funny site that gets you thinking “why didn’t I come up with that?” ( He also highlihgted the important happenings in Minnesota theater, but I fluttered to the airline safety jokes. And Dehn has me craving some WEN Almond Mint Clensing Conditioner. Because of her blog, whenever I wash my hair, I have begun to dislike that it gets all sudsy–something that used to be the highlight of my shower routine.

It’s fun to see MNMO try something new. And it looks like it’s working. I have em all RSSed to my Gmail (that’s right, I just used RSS as a verb) and the posts have plenty of comments, too (a good layman’s measure of pure success). Check ’em out. Dehn updates on Mondays and just posted about the New Juut. It might just make your day
