The Midtown Greenway is complete

It appears that the Midtown Greenway has been completed.

I used to ride the greenway all the time, back when it ended at the Wells Fargo complex – it’s nice to see that it now extends all the way to to river.

This kind of thing is an asset for bike riders in MInneapolis. There appears to be plans to eventually extend the greenway into St Paul, as well as continue to improve some of the bridges towards the eastern end of the new portion of the greenway.

I should finally get my bike fixed so I can go ride the whole thing again.

The official opening is going to be later this fall, though the trails are already open for business now.

I know plenty of people were riding through as they were still paving it and whatnot. Glad to hear those pesky orange barriers are all out of the way now. And that you can actually exit the trail.

For whatever reason, I have this idea that the river is farther away from me (in Uptown) than it is. I’m so glad the trail is finally open all the way to the river, because it’s not actually that far and this is definitely the easiest way to get over there.
