Improv for Gilda – Fundraising Marathon at Brave New Workshop

Gildas Club Twin Cities

The Brave New Institute is uniting the Twin Cities improv community for the Dudley Riggs 24-hour Improv Marathon to support Gilda’s Club Twin Cities. The Brave New Workshop theatre will host the fun starting at 10 pm on July 12th and through till 10 pm on July 13th. Tickets will be available for purchase at the door.

Gilda’s Club’s mission is to create welcoming communities of free support for everyone living with cancer and their friends and families. There are 21 operating Gilda’s Clubhouses. The Twin Cities location is scheduled to open in 2009. This is the first Dudley Riggs Improv Marathon.

Groups performing in the marathon include members of the Brave New Institute’s improvisation classes (including my friend Kari!) and professionals the likes of which you probably saw a couple weekends ago at the Twin Cities Improv Festival. Ticket prices are $5 for a two hour block, $25 for a 12-hour block, and $40 for the whole 24 hours.
