Trader Joe’s Downtown: Never Mind
buzz.mn is reporting that a lack of parking has killed the deal. Apparently TJ’s wanted 60-80 spots but Minneapolis zoning rules only allowed 20. TJ’s will reconsider if they can get more parking.

Personally, while I like Trader Joe’s, I hope the city doesn’t budge and give them extra parking spaces. It’s downtown. Encouraging people to drive from their condo in downtown to Trader Joe’s in downtown is missing the point, I think.
