$2 Salvaged Paving Bricks/Stones

The City of Minneapolis is making salvaged pavers available to the public.

In 2006, Public Works removed and salvaged a quantity of granite stones when we reconstructed various Minneapolis streets. They are available on a first come/first served basis to the general public and to City NRP neighborhood organizations, departments and agencies.

Fill out some forms and send them along with a copy of your driver’s license (proof of residency, I presume) and the city will contact you about picking them up. See the website for the forms and more details.

Rad. This is making me daydream about all the abstract sculptures I’d build with those granite stones. Now if only the Walker sculpture garden were looking for an inexperienced sculptor, I’d be in luck!
