Midtown Global Market is Open for Business! MGM at Lake & Chicago opened [last] Monday and is offering fresh fruits and vegetables, flowers as well as great breakfast, lunch and dinners. Currently 16 businesses are open including restaurants, groceries, specialty gifts, and more. Additional businesses are coming soon.

Please stop by and support these small businesses! These first few weeks will be especially challenging for the businesses that are currently open in advance of the official “Grand Opening” of the Midtown Global Market in June. So please, stop by, do some shopping, bring your friends, and pass this along to your networks!

MGM is open every day from 9am to 8pm.

There’s been so much chatter about what’s going on in this area, with the old Sears building being used again and the repaving of Lake Street and the ghettoness of that neighborhood. This is the first of any of the new developments to open up (I think). Hopefully they’re getting some good business going.
