LOTR Trilogy showing at The Riverview
From The Riverview Theater:
Last year, in response to an e-mail we sent, some of you expressed an interest in seeing the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. Unfortunately, we were not able to complete arrangements to present it.
We now are able to show the three films and if there is enough interest, we would consider putting on a single presentation of the trilogy, most likely on either Sunday, January 1st or Monday, January 2nd. Each film would be the theatrical version, not the extended versions. The program would start at around noon and be completed by 11pm, allowing 30-45 minutes between each film. We anticipate the admission price will be $2 for each film or $5 for the trilogy. Advance tickets would be available.
If you are interested in attending, you may

Totally not my thing, but I think it’s neat that they’re showing it. So if you wanna see it, let ‘em know!

I was lucky enough to see all 3 extended editions on New Year’s Eve of 2004. They played them at a church in Maple Grove and it was breathtaking.

they are encouraging people to come in costume, of course, and it seems like a really great time. also, based on the showtimes, i DON’T think these are the extended versions. hope to see you guys there. thanks!
