1st Annual Light Rail Pub Crawl

1st Annual Light Rail Pub CrawlI’m so upset I’m going to be out of town.

Pub crawls are fun. If you’re a part of them. Sometimes not so much for the people that were already at the bar. But one way to endear your fellow patrons is to have a really good (i.e., non-frat) theme for your pub crawl. What better theme than everyone’s favorite local public transportation?! Not only are you serial-drinking, you’re traveling responsibly.

Hence, the 1st Annual Light Rail Pub Crawl.

This Saturday, June 4, at 2:00 p.m. Departing from America’s Original Sports Bar at the MOA. $17 gets you a light rail pass and a Pub Crawl t-shirt. Buy your ticket when you get there. Train leaves at 2:45.

Somebody go. I want to hear all about it.

Ooh! That could be fun! Bummer, I already have plans. :(

My wife and I did a limited pub crawl when the Hiawatha line first opened up. I had a blast!

I had thought there already was some sort of semi-organized pub crawl when the LRT first opened here, but I could very well have confused it with some other city. Or maybe it was wishful thinking on my part.

I’ll tell ya what - you don’t have to pay $17 to have a beer in my backyard. :-)

The Pub Crawl was a blast! Minus the teel blue t-shrit, which will occupy the bottom of my closet for years now, it was a great time and very well organized.

Well I’ll have to make sure I catch it next year.
