Huffpost is running a contest for The Best Local TV Ads (VIDEO, POLL) and they want to know what we think is the best (worst?) local ad in our market.
Low-budget TV ads, like a great regional wine, just have something unique and all their own. Inspired by Rhett and Link, we decided to compile a list of some of the best local TV ads ever. We’ve com awesomely bad local classics stick in our brain for decades…

I like the ones for Minnesota Grown, like this one. They’re memorable, to the point, and the music gets stuck in my head. They’re just goofy / corny enough to remind you they’re local, but polished enough that they don’t look like they were done in a high school media class.
Honestly, @Kearn, an old Pawn America commercial comes to mind. I think it’s because of the bluesy way they did the song and the big pipes on the gospel singer pulling off the notes.
I WANT SOMe cooool used stuff.
