Earth Hour

We are a half hour away from Earth Hour. Whether this means you are turning off all the lights, or turning them all on in protest, use this hour to think about your own feelings on the global climate. I will not push on side over the other, but the one thing that I hate is someone who is uninformed, or has not made up their mind.

So, at 8:30, flip a switch, and do some thinking.

    All lights on.

Same – and I turned up the heat in my hottub. Its comments like mitchell’s that make it hard to take any ‘environmentalist’ seriously. This is a political problem. Not a problem that will be solved by sitting in the dark singing kum bah ya.

    Yoshi,
    All my lights are on.

I am not an environmentalist. I just want people to understand the climate (meaning, that global warming is a laughable hoax that has been all but discredited). I am sick of talking to people that just regurgitate "An Inconvenient Truth."

To me, Earth Hour is only good for making people realize just how out there the idea of global warming, and its "solutions" really are. I just felt that I needed to bring some awareness.

i’m not a phd on the issue, but i assume you guys are. to counter those arguments, i’ll leave it it to MIT climatologist, kerry emanuel phd, and his book, "what we know about climate change." it’s interesting to hear scientific reasoning to support these arguments (juxtaposed to ill hidden partisian motivations).

I claim ignorance. I saw the #earthhour hashtag but didn’t know what it was until 1:41 p.m. Monday 30 (just now).

I find it’s best practice not to leave on lights in rooms I’m not using and leave lights on in rooms I am using. Makes the most sense for my family budget.

Don’t need a study for common sense.

Earth haters! You shall bow to the will of Lord Gore or feel his wrath!
