Recommended Minneapolis Twitter Users
Ed Kohler ranks Minneapolis Twitter users by “interestingness” using his patent-pending “F/U” algorhythm.
- I made #18 on Ed’s List.
- I made #11 on Twitterholic’s list of Top 100 users in Minneapolis.
- I’m currently #18 on Twitter Grader’s Minneapolis Elite list (although I was #3 just 16 days ago)
But focusing on your own rankings is mostly an effort in ego surfing. I suggest you use these lists to find people interesting to you to follow in Minneapolis, and more importantly, use Twitter to form REAL relationships.
I’ve said it 100 times, I know, but Twitter has helped me make more real-life friendships in the Twin Cities than Facebook, MySpace and LinkedIn combined.
Oh, and I’m @perfectporridge if we aren’t already friends. :)

I’m #133 on Ed’s list. Surprised I am on there at all, really!
I’m also finding Twitter to be as useful, if not more so, than Facebook/LinkedIn, etc.
It’s now my goal to make one of those lists, ha…

That’s the truth.
Though this list is misleading for several reasons, see DeRusha’s comments, it’s a decent starting point.
Also, the search tool itself is flawed. e.g. St.Paul shows up different from St.Paul Mn.
A more useful search may be on Minnesota or Mn because of the various ways people enter where they are from; such as "Mpls Mn" which wouldn’t have showed up in that search.
I just tested it out and I’m #8 for Saint Paul Twitter Elite, but I don’t show up at all for St.Paul.
Ohhhh…you are assuming Saint Paul counts.
Yeah, I had mine as "Twin Cities, MN" and I don’t even think that’s an option.
Ohhhh…you are assuming Saint Paul counts.
Ha!
St.Paul counts. Sure, it has to use it’s fingers and toes to get to 20 .. .
