Last week, sixth district representative Michele Bachmann was reelected. Most people are upset about this. “What a joke people must think we are!” is the cry coming from most Minnesotans. And that’s fine. Be upset. I, on the other hand, have found a gigantic silver lining: two more years (at least!) of Michele Bachmann.

Obvious, you might think. But I am not looking forward to two more years of having my neighbors to the north and east represented by some blithering idiot, I’m looking forward to the blither itself. What will she grace us with next?

I’ve tried to come up with some witty exaggerations for examples of what Michele Bachmann might say, but they all seem too plausible. We’ll just have to wait and see. And there will be nothing to do but laugh and maybe vote in 2010.
