They’re based in St. Cloud. You see a lot of them in the North of there: Brainard, Park Rapids, Sauk Center,

I’ve heard rumors that they are interested in Rainbow foods.

Erica – Frames on the website is almost reason enough not to shop with them. I haven’t checked, but how much do you want to bet they use Target Main?

Geographygirl – I wonder if they’ll also sell wine and beer? That was the one advantage SimonDelivers had over Byerly’s and Lunds.

Coborns sucks. They have stores in Hastings and New Prague and their prices make Cub look cheap. Growing up in Austin, I was more familiar with their discount brand of Cash Wise. Very cheap prices and if they’d extend that brand into the Twin Cities, they’d give Cub some real competition. Until then they’ll play fifth fiddle. Or tuba.

Coburn’s has been a grocery chain in Northern Minnesota for quite awhile, particularly in the St. Cloud area. They’re known for having pretty good selection as far as Northern MN grocers go. I think this is their first foray into the Twin Cities. I think they’ll be alright.

I think I’ve seen Coborn’s trucks driving around. I knew it was a grocery store. That’s about it.

Their website has frames. Ack!
