We’re looking for stopping power — basically, to make people stop

From the Minnesota Independent:

Now the [Hamline-Midway] neighborhood is getting 37 artist-designed signs with oddball imagery meant to make drivers slow down—if only to figure out why a sign that shows a dog says “CAT.”

Got me thinking of this video about how an advertising agency would develop a stop sign from scratch.

So they want drivers to take their eyes off the road? How brilliantly St. Paul.

I bet it works. It seems kinda dumb, but that’s the sort of thing where you see some city in Europe has already tried it and it’s great and then we think "we would never do something that creative here."

    That video was hilarious.

Better than the signs that say "CONCENTRATE ON DRIVING"

Yeah, what’s this about distracting the drivers?

They should just send them a text message.
