TROMAPALOOZA Minneapolis July 18th and 19th

In conjunction with the Minnesota Film and television Board, The Independent Film Project, and Nick and Eddie, Troma Entertainment, Mike Etoll, and Evan Husney will be presenting “Tromapalooza Minneapolis 2008 and the Troma Films 35th Anniversary Celebration.”

The Tromapalooza Minneapolis 2008 event is a two day, tromatic art, music, and film festival extravaganza featuring special guests: Lung Leg, Scarlet Salem, Nicola Fiore, The Toxic Avenger, Sgt. Kabukiman NYPD, 15 tromatizing bands, sexy cabaret performers, frightening special effects by FRIGHTPROPS, vodka sno-cones, great Nick and Eddie food, and a screening of a fresh new 35 mm print of Troma’s 1986 classic film “Class of Nuke ‘Em High”, and an extra special appearance by the president of Troma Entertainment, Mr. Lloyd Kaufman himself!

The event will take place rain, or shine on Saturday, July 19th, and Sunday, July 20th in the Loring Alley (next to Nick and Eddie) 1612 Harmon Place mpls, Mn 55403. Tromapalooza is for people 21 and over and admission is $10.00 at the door. The fun starts at 1:00pm both days!

Musical acts include: Faggot, Mommy S3z No, Sam Planet Group, Sirens of Titan, Brother and Sister, Rock N’ Roll Whores, Hondo, Bloody Turncoats, Harsh Reality, Bouncer Fighter, Downcast, Bernie the Trailer Park Queen, Alcoholic Bomb Squad, Hot Rod Hearse, Riverbottom Suckerfish, The No-No’s, Cognitive Dissonance

Tromapaloozas are held in different cities throughout the year. Tromapalooza events raise enough money to be one of the primary sponsors of the annual Tromadance Film Festival. Tromadance celebrates it’s 10th year in 2009!
