Cause for Drinks comes to Minneapolis

The Minneapolis chapter of Cause for Drinks Minneapolis will host its first happy hour this Wednesday, February 20th from 5-8 p.m. at Nami.

Cause for Drinks is a series of bi-monthly happy hours hosted by alldaybuffet.org in cities across the country. People in each city gather for happy hour at their local watering hole and money from every drink bought goes to a selected charity.

Now that’s my kind of charity.

The inaugural happy hour will benefit The Blue Books Society, a group that raises money to buy school supplies for Twin City schools in need.

How can you say no to drinking for the kids? I mean, c’mon, people.

Here’s the Facebook Group (72 members and counting). Otherwise, show up at Nami on Wednesday and start philanthropizing with your beverage of choice.

Remember, the more your drink, the more you make a difference.
