Inaugural Twin Cities Social Media Breakfast tomorrow
The Social Media Breakfast series will begin in the Twin Cities tomorrow, Wednesday, February 13, when local social media guru Rick Mahn hosts the inagural event at Keys Cafe in downtown Minneapolis from 8-10 a.m.
An extension of Social Media Breakfast - Boston, which was started by Bryan Person, the meetup is a way for local bloggers, podcasters, entrepreneurs, social media blogerati and geeks of like-mind to “eat, meet, share and learn.”
More information about the breakfast (anyone is welcome to attend) at Upcoming, and you can be sure those of us “super geeks” in attendance will be live-Tweeting the event.
I’m growing more and more impressed by the amount of opportunities for social media nuts (like me) to meet other super smart people in the metro area. Tonight was the MNteractive meet-up, there’s a Minnesota Interactive Marketing Assn (MIMA) presentation tomorrow night about “The Age of Participation,” and Friday morning at 8 a.m. is likemind_min.
That’s four (4!) opportunities in one week.
If you’re a geek obsessed with social media, you have no excuse for not having oodles of real life, physical friends in this city.

I wanna go! Haven’t yet figured out how it applies to my day job, though, so no time out of the office for me. Boo!
Have a wonderful breakfast, Greg, and we’ll be doing the same in Boston.
I counted 14 at breakfast this morning. Fantastic people making fantastic conversation.
So, you’re going to take over the world… when, exactly?
It’s true, RL friends are for awesome. It’s always fun to meet the flesh and blood behind the pixels.
