Trivia Weekend
This weekend is KVSC’s Trivia Weekend. The deadline to enter is 4:30pm today! Competition starts at 5pm.
This year marks KVSC’s 29th annual Trivia Weekend. Each year, a different theme is chosen to pay homage to a popular movie, novel or pop-culture phenomena. Vote Trivia ‘08 was chosen for the election year. The questions asked represent a broad range of categories including: movies, pop culture, sports, science and history. Of course, teams can expect to be bombarded with many theme-based questions. After a team registers, it receives the official trivia kit, which includes a visual-trivia packet and two collectible posters. Kits are mailed to all teams outside the St. Cloud metro area. Trivia Weekend is habitually scheduled for the second weekend of February and begins on Friday at 5:00pm. Participating teams will endure 50 hours of non-stop trivia. Each hour, nine questions are broadcast on KVSC 88.1 FM. The contest also features speed rounds (double questions), audio trivia and visual trivia. Teams outside the Central Minnesota area are encouraged to play, as well. Last year, numerous teams played nationwide via the Internet.
Even if you’re not playing, tune in to get a taste of the contest and plan on it for next year.

Are you going to be playing?
Nope. After I heard about it last year, I wanted to, but then I totally spaced on it and I hadn’t heard from anyone I know doing it until today.
You?
Hey! I’m on a team!
If you tune in (and if 88.1 FM doesn’t come in on your radio, you can listen online at http://www.kvsc.org), root for the Neo-Maxi Zoomdweebies. And it’s not too late to get a few friends and a computer together, you know. Two hours left to register.
