Punch Pizza says “Cheese!”
There has been a fair amount of online discussion about Punch Pizza’s no-photography policy in the last month.
Someone at the company “gets” the power of social media, and today they are launching the Punch Neapolitan Pizza “Capture Our Fire” Photo Contest
Attention all Punch Pizza lovers, photographers, bloggers and anyone who can use a digital camera or camera phone. Punch Neapolitan Pizza, the Twin Cities authentic Neapolitan pizza restaurant, launches the Capture Our Fire Photo Contest. This contest encourages customers and all to submit a photo of their favorite Punch pizza or Punch Pizza moment - whether artistic, silly or candid - for the opportunity to win a grand prize and have the winning photographs showcased on the Punch Pizza blog, new Web site and in the restaurants.“The inspiration for the contest stems from the exceptional photographs we have seen that were taken by customers who post them on their blogs or photo sharing Web sites,” said John Puckett, co-owner of Punch Neapolitan Pizza. “We want to encourage customers and all to continue to showcase their artistic and creative side, and silly side for that matter.”
Categories include:
* Ovens of Punch - Photographs of Punch ovens and fires in Punch ovens.
* Punch Pizzas - Photographs of Punch pizzas.
* Punch Moments - Photographs of people eating at Punch restaurants, gatherings, candid photos, etc.
* Camera Phone Photos - Photographs taken from a camera phone.

Punch Management should be applauded for understanding the power of social media and having the fortitude to launch a promotion that embraces transparency and encourages authentic customer engagement, thereby reinforcing the Punch brand (and their pizza) as a step above competitors.
