Twin Cities Green Guide

TC Green GuideThe Twin Cities Green Guide seems pretty cool. They have a comprehensive list of places to shop, eat, entertain, and live in an environmentally conscious way.

The purpose of The Twin Cities Green Guide is to create a printed guidebook and web site to educate Twin Cities Metro area residents about environmental issues, serve as a quick environmental reference tool and promote a self-sustaining and community-oriented lifestyle. The Twin Cities Green Guide will ensure that people of all incomes will have access to the guide. Also, it will serve as a model for other cities and states nationwide.

It looks to be a hair out of date. The upcoming events section lists items from the summer with the most recent being in November. And they’re still soliciting listings for the 2006 Minnesota Green Pages. But a lot of this stuff doesn’t change. And their About page says they’re only updating their print edition every four years.

Does anybody have experience using the Green Guide as a resource? I’m wondering if any dedicated tree huggers out there (dis)agree with their criteria or methodology.
