Really really big pumpkins, made in MN

billspumpkins.JPGEver walk through by the giant vegetables at the Minnesota State Fair and wonder how they’re made?

A new documentary follows giant pumpkin grower Bill Foss as he attempts to grow the biggest pumpkin in Minnesota history.

“Bill’s Big Pumpkins” was directed by independent filmmakers Ryan Foss and Bill Nagel, both from Buffalo, Minnesota. The soundtrack features locally produced music by The Brass Kings.

There’s a screening this weekend (Fri, October 12th and Saturday October 13th) at Oak Street Cinema in Minneapolis. The filmmakers and Bill will stick around after the screening for a Q&A, AND there will be a giant pumpkin from Bill Foss’s patch on display at the theater.

I’m not sure if it actually gets it own seat, but it should. Here’s the trailer:

    Ok, that’s just incredible!! Now, if only we can make everything else turned into giant Fruits & Vegetable we’ll be in good shap! No more world hunger!
