Picasso is in town

Actually, Picasso never set foot in America, but his work was still mighty influential on American artists. The Walker Art Center is concluding it’s exhibit Picasso and American Art on September 9. It’s been popular, so the Walker extended their hours to make it easier for all of us to go see it.

The exhibition features nearly 30 works by Picasso as well as a wide-ranging display of works by nine American artists: Max Weber, Stuart Davis, Arshile Gorky, John Graham, Willem de Kooning, Jackson Pollock, David Smith, Roy Lichtenstein, and Jasper Johns. Each will be represented by approximately 10 artworks spanning their careers.

Go get your art on!
