I-94 Freshness

The repaving/restriping of I-94 between downtown Minneapolis and Hwy 280 is complete. MnDOT says last weekend’s construction went well, despite the crazy rain. I suppose as folks have already had several weeks’ practice re-routing themselves without I-35W, re-routing without I-94 was not such a big deal.

I spent Sunday shuttling across the Hennepin/1st Ave bridge to Wilde Roast, back over to the Guthrie, back over again to Lunds NE, and then down Cedar to South Minneapolis. No issues! In fact, after having navigating the Fringe Festival with no 35W and making extensive use of Cedar and Riverside, it was pretty easy.

Roadguy is soliciting comments. There was some more work done on on/off ramps on 280 as well. As usual, it takes no time at all to get into a discussion about Minnesotans’ complete inability to merge properly.
