Eloise Butler Wildflower Garden Celebrates 100th Anniversary

Eloise Butler Wildflower Garden and Bird Sanctuary 100th AnniversaryThe Eloise Butler Wildflower Garden and Bird Sanctuary, inside Theodore Wirth Park, is the oldest public wildflower garden in the nation.

Friendly neighborhood masseuse/reiki master Scott Schumacher* will be singing in the Floral Chorus with folks from In the Heart of the Beast Puppet and Mask Theatre this Saturday (Aug 11) at 11 am, 2pm, and 4pm.

If you can stand the heat, go check that out. One of the things that I love about Minneapolis is that you can get in a park or on a lake or a trail and have no idea that a pretty good-sized downtown is just a few miles away. Eloise Butler is a perfect example of such a place.

*Scott’s awesome. Go see him sometime.
