Reveille Magazine Launches

reveilleshowposter.pngHave you discovered a surprising lack of formal music editorial coming from the heart of the Twin Cities? That’s probably because both City Pages and Pulse recently cut some of their best writing talent in recent months for various reasons (too numerous to list here).

But have no fear, because former Pulse music editor Steve McPherson, HowWasTheShow and local media writer Andrea Myers, More Cowbell’s Kyle Matteson, Pulse and Metro Magazine writer Rob van Alstyne and Jim Walsh have banded together to launch a new music zine called Reveille Magazine.

It’s only been up a day and is still looking for advertisers, but from my experience with this cadre of Minneapolitan Musicophiles, I can tell you the group is a dedicated bunch with oodles of talent just waiting for your eyes (and ears) to give them some attention.

Check out the kick-off party at the Nomad on Saturday, July 21 with The Pines, The Gleam, The Beatifics, Heiruspecs and Jessy Greene.

Check out the mag here.
