Stuff To Do This Weekend

  • TONIGHT: MPR and the Third Coast International Audio Festival are hosting a listening event. They’re calling it “Book club meets film screening. But it’s RADIO.” Free, but reservations required. 7-8:30pm at the UBS Forum in St. Paul.
  • For the Ladies Who Love Ladies, this month’s Twilight is Friday at the Kitty Cat Klub. Happy hour specials from 9-10. $7 cover. 21 and up. DJ Sheik is spinning.
  • Zinefest kicks off with a party Friday at 7pm at the Acadia, and continues Saturday and Sunday at the Stevens Square Center for the Arts.
  • The 7th Stage of the Tour de France is playing (tape delayed) at The Riverview on Saturday at 11am. Free admission.

  • The Overheard in Minneapolis 1st Anniversary party is Friday at 6pm at Mac’s Industrial Sports Bar. Wouldn’t it be awesome to overhear something Overheard-worthy at the Overheard party?
  • Fringe Festival showcase at Balls Cabaret. Saturday at midnight (that’s Saturday night/Sunday morning) at the Southern Theater. $5.

    There’s also a fun little event tomorrow at Mac’s Industrial Sports Bar! And by fun I mean there’ll probably 15 people that show up. That’s the power of my site.

    Thanks for mentioning the Zine Fest.We will be selling our zine Ink Engine there and couldn’t be more excited. It’s our first venture into the world of zines and we can’t wait!
