New at the Brave New Workshop
The BNW is reviving How to Try in Business Without Really Succeeding and is counting on the acerbic wit of the Twin Cities to come up with a snappy new subtitle.
To participate, just email us with your suggestions by Monday, July 9th. Multiple entries are encouraged! We’ll announce the winner by July 13th. If your entry is chosen, you get the glorious honor of having your suggestion used in the show title, and all the bragging rights that entails! You’ll also be credited in the show program and on our website, and you’ll even receive a BNW goodie bag with lots of cool schwag.
I just saw their current show, Rise of the Celebretards: A-crotch-alypse Now, last weekend. Not my favorite of theirs, but pretty funny stuff. Lauren Anderson cracks my shit up (”My spine!”). And the phrase “skirt turtle” makes the whole damn show worth it. It runs through the end of the summer, so you’ve got time, but make ‘em feel loved and go sooner rather than later.
This show is running on a more limited schedule for this season, but they’re looking to fill in the extra slots with some really interesting programming so check their website, get on their mailing list, go to their new discussion board, or be their myspace friend.
Lastly, the BNW is now putting out a weekly podcast. 10-15 minutes of shooting the shit amongst cast members. At least listen to it once to hear Mike Fotis introduce himself.
