speaking of food
Anyone want to weigh in on the future of our food scene?
(my favorite) Local food critic Dara Moskowitz Grumndahl writes about the recent demise of our local gourmets in Gourmet…
I don’t disagree with Dara, necessarily… and certainly feel a little frustrated about our local guys not getting their due press (I could dine for the rest of my life between Modern and Town Talk and be a happy woman, but that could just be me)… but are the Twin Cities in gastronomic dire straits? Really?

I’m so not a foodie, so I don’t exactly have an informed opinion, but it doesn’t seem to me like we’re lacking in dining options.
Gridskipper picked up the article, too. Not sure why they’d list “Wolfgang Puck” as a pick instead of 20.21, but whatever. I’ve not heard anything overwhelmingly positive about that place anyway.
I haven’t heard anything remarkable about 20.21 or Chambers, to be honest.
Though, in all fairness, they are too close to “chain” restaraunts for me to really feel like I want to eat there.
Are there other (more informed) opinions about either of our city’s “celebrity” dining experiences out there?
