Angriest Minnesota Principal Ever Lands New Job

principalkitty.JPGState of Idaho – we hereby give you Principal Wade Pilloud and say good riddance.

If you don’t remember, Pilloud was fired for shooting two kittens back in 2006 while principal of a K-12th grade school in Indus, Minn., on the Canadian border. Reports at the time told both sides of the story during the misdemeanor trial and everyone pretty much let it go.

But last week this role model of the year was named to head Marsing High School along Idaho’s Snake River, and their AP bureau and local TV stations just found out about Pilloud’s history (and naturally, they’re freaking out).

According to their AP story we get a little more insight into the incidents that left him to flee the Land of Lakes for the Land of Potatoes:

Pilloud shot the kittens in September after their mother died in a trap he’d set to catch woodchucks beneath his trailer home, located on school property…. Pilloud kept a gun in his trailer on school grounds to guard against wild animals that lived in the Indus area… Last September, Pilloud’s traps had captured a skunk in addition to the mother cat. Pilloud was upset people joked about the resulting smell of his belongings, according to court documents. According to a criminal complaint, he stormed out of the school, saying he quit… Staff members then saw him fire two shots near the trailer with a shotgun. A custodian later found the hole where Pilloud punched a cafeteria door.

This guy was apparently out of his mind. I suppose this is a good lesson to always “Google” your kids’ teachers, principal, coaches and friends. You never know when one of them is a kitten-killer.
