Did you know that they have art in St. Paul, too?

To prove the point, the St. Paul Art Crawl is happening this weekend. You’ll have Friday, Saturday and Sunday to explore paintings, photographs, sculpture and more. All of that art can make you thirsty and hungry. Fortunately, you’ll also be in the neighborhood of one of my favorite coffee shops, Black Dog. Take a moment to stop in, drink some coffee, have a snack or sip some wine.

Can you suggest any artists taking part in the Art Crawl that we should be checking out?

I got a postcard from Kara Hendershot, one of my favorite St. Paul artists, showcasing one of her new works. Definitely check her out!

My uncle, George Crockett, will have beautiful abstract artwork on display on the fourth floor atrium of the Lower Town Lofts Co-op (between Kellogg and 4th off of Wacouta – alley entrance). He has painted for years and years but this is his first real “show.” I’ll be there to support him and I hope there’s an excellent turnout!
