I Feel the Rhythm of Life

The Uptown Lunds (possibly among others) has begun marking down its Easter candy. For those not familiar with the Easter and Christmas lifecycles of Lunds in-store candy, it’s a bit of natural lore worth learning. Here’s how it works:

1. The holiday approaches. Lunds puts out little plastic boxes of very delicious, high-quality chocolates wrapped to look like ornaments or eggs. The only catch is that it’s like $6 for 25 of them, which is crazy. Only eccentric aunts can afford that.

2. The holiday fades away. The price drops to $3, which is reasonable. Many — but not all — of the candies are sold. A little more time passes…

3. And then for one or two incandescent days, the candy is on sale for $1. This is when you must strike. If I had to make a guess, I’d suggest that either this Friday or next Monday will be the zero-hour for Easter candy. But I’m still getting my head around the precise timeline.

    ….. awesome …..

I’m all over that discount-eccentric-aunt candy.

This makes me wonder if Legacy Chocolates over in St. Paul ever has a sale…

I’ve heard wonderful, tasty things about Legacy… one of my co-workers raves nearly non-stop about them, but sadly, has yet to fork over a sample.
