What happend to Whiskey Junction?

A reader reports:

I recently learned that the Whiskey Junction was closed (sad) due to problems outlined in City Pages. Lately I have seen activity early AM through late PM and the doors have a sign stating “under new ownership” so far Ive only talked to construction types that share very little as to an opening ect. Looks good fro the window and I cant wait. Anybody got real info?? [sic]

Well? Do ya?

Yes, the Whiskey Junction has been closed since the 15th of December. There is still no set date on the opening. But I can tell you that it will be open in no longer than a week. And yes it is under new ownership. I have only been in to the Whiskey a few times since it has been closed, but it is amazing what they have done with the place. The bathrooms and kitchen is all re-done, A lot more seating for tables, well a whole new section, its like that little area by the bathrooms but its where the arcade games were. They did something new with the bar, im not sure what but it adds to the new look. You can tell lots of hard hours have gone in to this Bar. hope that helps ya Erica
