Casting Call for Wife Swap

When I have nothing better to do, I cruise the Craigslist ads for things that pique my interest, and that doesn’t really take much. Far be it from me, however, to not share my discoveries with the rest of the Metroblogigng Minneapolis fanbase.

ABC’s Wife Swap is looking for “unique families” in the Minneapolis area. This ad has all of the information.

We are looking for fun and unique families with a story to tell. If you lead an interesting lifestyle that you’d like to share with another family, (and the rest of the country) then we would like to hear from you!

I called the number on the ad just to make sure it was somewhat legit (that’s the kind of team player I am!) and the voicemail does say Meghan McGinley is a casting producer for the show.

Don’t really fit the subject matter at hand? Never fear, because there’s a $1,000 finder’s fee just for referring a family to the show.

Families chosen to appear on the show receive $20,000… – that’s why people subject themselves to being on this show!

    Was this under “casual encounters”?

    I could not resist…

Beware!!!! When you see Wife Slap…er..Swap cruising all of the Craigslists in nearly every American city, it only means one thing. They need new victims to chew up and spit out for your viewing pleasure. I know several people who made the unfortunate mistake of participating in the horror show known as Wife Swap. These people wish they had never heard of the show.

RDF/ABC will lie to get you on the show, lie during filming, then heavily edit the show to lie when it airs. They will tell you that they will portray everyone in a positive light. What they really do is hurt people and families. The show isn’t even reality. It is scripted. That’s right, they tell you what to say.

Before even thinking about participating on Wife Swap, do a lot of research. There are plenty of testimonials out on the Net. If you can, contact someone who participated on the show. Don’t become the next victim!
