Where to go to complain if you, too, hate Comcast.

I hear Comcast just jacked up their monthly cable internet rate from about $45/month (the former Time Warner rate) to $60/month plus a $3 modem rental fee. It’s got MNspeakers good and pissed and they’ve aggregated some good info. Alternative providers and their services/rates. The City of Minneapolis website where you can go “[i]f you have a cable related complaint that is not resolved by dealing directly with Comcast” along with a sample complaint letter. Speculation about the quality of the impending municipal wifi service in Minneapolis. Play by play of one guy’s phone conversations with Comcast.

Folks were skeptical before and it’s panning out to be with good reason.

Stupid telecoms.

Hm, I just got a new rate chart and didn’t notice a difference. It is cheaper, though, if you also have cable. (And people still rent modems? Don’t they realize they can buy them cheaply?)

Many of my channels after the Comcast switch are now inexplicably fuzzy (WCCO, MTV2). It’s like paying for bunny ears.
