A Grammy Nomination for Al Franken

Minnesota native and occasional resident, and Air America host Al Franken picked up a Grammy Nomination in the Spoken Word Album (Includes Poetry, Audio Books and Story Telling) category for “The Truth (With Jokes).” The album is his reading of his book by the same name.

We won’t know whether or not the Grammy nominee will run against against current GOP Sen. Norm Coleman until after the holidays.

He did a free reading or rally or some standup or something at Brave New Workshop earlier today. I’m sure it was damn near impossible to get into.

As a matter of fact, a coworker and I saw Mr. Franken trucking through the Skyway yesterday a little after 4pm near Accenture Tower. Go us.
