From the Guthrie to Grey’s Anatomy
If it’s good enough to be an Exclusive article in People magazine, it’s good enough for Metroblogging, right?
T.R. Knight, from the ever-popular show Grey’s Anatomy, has revealed exclusively to People that he is gay.
“I guess there have been a few questions about my sexuality, and I’d like to quiet any unnecessary rumors that may be out there,” Knight tells PEOPLE in a statement. “While I prefer to keep my personal life private, I hope the fact that I’m gay isn’t the most interesting part of me.”
The fact that he’s gay isn’t the most interesting thing about him to me; it’s the fact that he’s from Minneapolis. He got his first acting gig playing Tiny Tim when he was five in the Guthrie Theater’s production of A Christmas Carol. From his IMDB bio, he was part of several other performances throughout the years.
It always amuses me when I stumble upon a Minneapolitan in a TV show or movie, especially when I wasn’t sure they were representin’ the Land of 10,000 Lakes prior to that.

I love George, except he needs to get his act together with Callie. And I cried (again) watching Grey’s Anatomy this evening.
Dude, T.R.’s gay and from Minneapolis. Double bonus!
I’ve met T.R. Knight a few times; he starred in the Guthrie’s production of Amadeus a few years back. He seemed genuinely nice.
