I guess I didn’t have anything better to do.

Let’s say you were in a three car accident in a suburb on your way to work. How long would you really expect to wait for the police to show up? Ten minutes? Fifteen minutes?

It took 23 minutes this morning by the time I called 911 until one Bloomington Police Department squad car showed up.

Were my expectations a little too high? Granted, there were no injuries and I relayed that information to the 911 dispatcher, but I don’t know that excuses it. It’s 8:30 a.m. on a Wednesday morning. And in Bloomington. Is there really so much going on that there aren’t any police officers able to answer a call to an accident that’s blocking traffic?

…in uptown, they might not ever show up.

My roommate got hit (T’ed up) the other night and his car was essentially totalled. The dispatcher told him that the police were not coming and hinted that they had better things to do.

Two weeks ago, my buddies dad got jumped by the so-called “White T-shirt” gang outside of his apartment building and ended up in the hospital with a collapsed lung. The cops were called. They never showed up.

Needless to say I’m really thinking about buying a gun and getting a permit to carry the damn thing…

Happened to my lady in Bloomington same time about 4 weeks ago, she said it took them about 4-5 minutes. Guess the coffee and donuts were ready that AM. ;)

As a follow up to my roommate story…

His isurance company rolled over for the lady that hit him, because she stated that she wasn’t running a red light when she hit him. His insurance company (Progressive) isn’t doing a damn thing for him and is acutally paying 70% of damages to the ladies car… On top of this, the lying bi*&hes husband is an attorney and has called stating that he’s probably going to sue for the remaining 30%…

You know what could have come in handy…a freaking police accident report.

Why am I paying taxes again?
