Don’t forget to get your sticker today!

Just because there’s no President to vote for doesn’t mean there aren’t other officials you can start electing into office.

State primary elections are being held all over the state today. Find out where you can vote here. You get out of work, by law, and also get to wear around a neat “I Voted” sticker all day long. The latter of the two is totally why I went to vote today.

While it’s not exactly in the Twin Cities, it should still be interesting to see how the folks in Brainerd vote on their state senator. Last year, Republican State Sen. Paul Koering stuck to the Democrats’ side on the gay marriage ban, and eventually let his co-workers and everyone else know that he was gay. GOP leaders are calling it career-suicide, but I say good for him. I hope he can pull it off.

He did pull it off! Which is great news. I might not appreciate his politics, but they attacked him just for being who he is, and that was wrong.
