Pictures of 10 famous Minnesotans painted by local Minnesotan body painters on the bare backs of 10 Minnesota models.

Wednesday, September 13 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. On the street downtown, at the corner of 1st Ave N and 6th St N (so Block E/Target Center, on the Bellanotte/NBA City end).

After all the American Idol folks have cleared out of town.

This was presented to me as “touting Minnesota history” and I know that Kirby Puckett, Prince, Bob Dylan, and Mary Tyler Moore are names we all know. I guess history in this case is more “pop culture” than, I don’t know, “history.” I’m conjuring up this image of those airbrushed denim jackets from the late ’80s and early ’90s.

Anyway, might be a neat thing to check out on your lunch hour.
