We here in the TC are pretty proud of our music scene. So we should all be brimming with enthusiasm over Sound Unseen.

A one-of-a-kind festival for all of you music junkies! Whether it’s rock n’ roll, the blues, jazz, punk, experimental, electronic, folk, bluegrass, local, soul, funk, reggae and of course, the unexplainable - this festival is sure to quench any appetite….

SOUND UNSEEN’s mission is to explore and discover the latest music, audio-visual projects and films from all genres including the unexplainable, shorts, animation, music videos, rare concert footage and the always-popular music documentary.

Music and film. Something for everyone! (Sample some of the fare, if you’re curious.) Sound Unseen alumni include The Olympic Hopefuls (2004) and Tapes ‘n Tapes (2003). This year is the 7th year of the festival. It runs Wednesday, 8/16, to Thursday, 8/24. Check the website for event and ticket information.

Anything called DANCE PARTY MPLS, USA sounds pretty frickin’ sweet to me.
