I hope Chewy throws one out at the Dome
It’s old news now, but Chewbacca threw out the first pitch at a Boston Red Sox game a little under a year ago. Han Solo stood by and watched. The disfuntional dynamic duo visited the game to promote an exhibit called “Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination” at the Boston Museum of Science, which, coincidentally, is running the sequel to our Science Museum’s current Body Worlds exhibit. But here’s what’s not old news - the exhibit will come to St. Paul.
It turns out the science spectacle is going to end in our neck of the woods in October of 2008. I am pumped. Seriously pumped. One of my less-sci-fi-friendly buddies thinks it’s pretty rediculous how excited I am for this exhibit. But with a Millenium Falcon hyperspace simulation, live interpretations of SW technology, and “real world starship” prototypes, how could you not be thrilled? So I just came off sounding like Steve Urkel–who cares?! You know you’re already counting the days till October 2008 (approx. 777 days). I think it has been proven that 90% of the public at least likes the Star Wars movies, even if they won’t admit it to their spouse or co-workers. And you can’t tell me you don’t enjoy the science museum. So put those two together, and you’re bound to start sounding like the biggest nerd on the block, too.
