Free home delivery from IKEA when you bus/train

IKEA Bloomington

If you’re in need of decent-looking affordable furniture and quality is not an issue, look now further than to IKEA. But who wants to pay $49 for home delivery?

Well if you ride the choo-choo or bus during August to get to the store, you can get that $49 fee waved for home delivery (if you live within the 30 mile zone of happiness from Downtown). Katie and I took advantage of it last weekend and now scored ourselves a nice folding dining table, as opposed to our old dining table which just takes up space in our tiny house as well as a new bookcase. All without lugging our car around! Score us! I hope IKEA does this more often.
