I had the most insane Friday evening at the Dakota County Fair Demolition Derby. These beat-up junkyard beauties (with a lick-up here and a stick-up there) were out on a mission to destroy. Every dollar of the $12 I paid to get in was worth it. And there were three grandstands full of people who had an appetite for destruction too.

There were five heats, and the last standing driver took home $500 – not a lot considering what he put his car through. The fair is on until Sunday (Aug 13), and the demo is a daily feature. Saturday (today) will see junk pick-ups have a go at each other!

If you need an adrenaline rush this weekend, I’d recommend the demo without delay.
