Spot the Typo!
Fellow Metblogger Amanda and I went to the Como Park Conservatory today to see the platter lilies in bloom, (I’ll let her tell you a little bit more about why these flowers are such a big deal), and we happened to wander through the Japanese Garden, which has this engraved plaque at the entrance. Now, if I was Mr. Ordway or Mr. Matsuda, um, I would probably want to have the plaque replaced. Wouldn’t you?

I’m slow… what am I missing?
Also not seeing it.
“…opened to the PUBIC…”
*snicker*
okay found it (thanks to Katie)
Yeah, I’m slow.
That was totally Freudian on the part of the plaque-maker. Doesn’t anyone proofread these things?
Don’t think that was a mistake. Could’ve been a naughty plaque-maker. Kristi, you’ve got hawk eyes!
I’m not a caption editor for nothing! :D My work may be in vain, though, if only 1/3 of readers/watchers catch glaring mistakes like the one above. Makes my fretting over comma placement seem insignificant in comparison.
AMAZING powers of observation, gang. :P
Oh know Kristi, trust me… that 1/3rd is usually whispering to their other two friends.
Now that’s a first… my brain actually WANTED me to stay away from pubic. hehe
