This thing called the Internet is good for hours and hours, but at 3 a.m., it takes more than a Strongbad cartoon to keep one entertained.
So during some recent late nights, I’ve been catching up on back episodes of Drinking with Ian (myspace), the best locally-produced cable access show in the Twin Cities. If you haven’t caught an episode or witnessed a live taping, you definitely have missed out on the intimate window into a drunk’s soul that is this show.
With interviews with noted locals, drink recipes, haiku, live bands, comedy skits and audience participation galore, Ian navigates the helter skelter world of the libationary metro scene like only an expert in DWI could.
The latest episode featured Diablo Cody, skits for John Holmes Hand Soap and Extreme Hangover: Home Edition, and the Quincy Punx.

Thanks for the info; I was wondering when I could catch Ian on SPNN. Too bad I didn’t check this last night, otherwise I definitely would have watched! I’ve only seen one episode before, a show with Rich Kronfeld, who is my local hero.
